DUNKERQUE — A Dunkirk manufacturer of HVAC equipment has been taken over by a Canadian company.

Granby Industries LP, a division of TerraVest Industries Inc., announced that it has acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of ECR ​​International Corp. ECR, headquartered in Utica, is a privately held manufacturing company that manufactures heating and cooling products under a family of brands in North America, including the Dunkirk, Utica and Olsen brands, among others.

TerraVest will acquire ECR using existing cash and credit facilities.

He was unsure of the number of ECR ​​International employees at its Dunkirk plant.
